Oriel’s Advisory Board comprises senior and experienced advisors who provide advice and assistance to Oriel on developing our business and relationships in their respective sectors.

  • Richard Bernays (Investment Funds): Richard Bernays has over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry and is Chairman of four investment trusts. He is currently employed at Hermes Pensions Management Limited. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Capel-Cure Sharp. He has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Grieg Middleton from 1998 to 2001; as Chief Executive Officer of Hill Samuel Asset Management Group from 1992 to 1996; and as Chief Executive of Old Mutual International Ltd.
  • Andy Martin (Real Estate): Andy Martin is Senior Partner of Strutt & Parker having previously headed up its market leading investment division. He is a former Chairman of the Investment Property Forum.
  • Frank Moxon (Resources): Having trained initially as an equity research analyst at Capel-Cure Myers, Frank Moxon spent eighteen years in the corporate finance departments of Beeson Gregory, Société Générale, Old Mutual and was latterly head of corporate finance and head of natural resources at Williams de Broë before heading up the mining team at its new parent, Evolution Securities. In January 2008 he established Hoyt Moxon Ltd which provides corporate finance and other advisory services to companies, investors and professional advisers primarily engaged in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Clean Energy sectors.
  • Ian Reeves (Support Services and Building & Construction): Ian Reeves founded and ran the High-Point Rendel Group for 20 years. He was then President and CEO of the Cleveland Bridge and Dorman Long Companies Worldwide. In recent years he has co-founded Synaps, an international strategy and business consultancy, and is Chairman of GCP Infrastructure Investments.
  • James Dodd (Telecommunications): James has over 30 years' experience in both public and private equity markets focusing in particular on telecommunications and related technology industries. He has participated in many of the largest TMT financings including the privatisation of BT and other European PTTs, and the IPOS of a host of new operators such as Telewest, COLT, Orange, Energis etc. and a number of smaller IT IPO and venture fundings. James was the Founder and Chairman of ETT, a data net-working company which he led through several financing rounds and which was  successfully acquired by Global Telecom and Technology Inc. (OTC BB: GLT). From 2002 to 2012, James was Co-founder and a Managing Director of Anthem Corporate Finance which successfully conducted a variety of M &A and financing transactions in the TMT and other sectors.
